At the headquarters of the United Nations in New York, the General Debates of the 80th session of the General Assembly took place. Despite being held at a challenging time for international relations, the General Assembly remains the UN’s principal deliberative body and, in essence, the heart of global diplomacy, bringing together delegations from all 193 member states of the Organization.

On September 23 this year, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was among the first world leaders to address the high rostrum. His speech reflected not only the dynamics of the internal reforms in the country but also bold foreign policy initiatives aimed at strengthening Central Asia’s role on the global stage. The Head of State also emphasized the importance of multilateral cooperation, international solidarity, and sustainable development as the foundation for addressing today’s pressing global challenges.

Analysis of the Implementation of Economic Initiatives within the OTS

Within a relatively short period of membership in the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Uzbekistan has evolved from an observer into one of the key initiators of integration projects. The country is actively shaping the organization’s economic agenda, advancing initiatives in trade, investment, transport, digitalization, and sustainable development. Today, it is possible to speak not only of declarative proposals but also of the first results of their practical implementation, which confirms Uzbekistan’s growing role in building a common economic space among Turkic states.

Of course, the title of this article might seem to impart a gloomy spirit to the content as a whole. However, we intend absolutely no reproach. We are not condemning the past or holding grudges against the deceased. Furthermore, there is no need to seek examples from dark periods of history to reflect on the value of our achievements today.

A natural question arises at this point: If everything is as it should be, then why the resentment?
